umo Tours is a well-established specialist ground operator to the travel trade, established in Ethiopia in 1978, and at the forefront of new developments since the early 1990’s. We have built up an extensive knowledge of the country and we are always happy to give assistance and advice. All Yumo’s guides have an intimate knowledge of the country, and the company has a small family atmosphere conducive to offering the very best in personal service.
We can customise tours to fit the various needs and desires of our customers, including cultural tours on the historical route for heritage seekers. We also offer photo safaris, trekking, mule trekking, birdwatching and fishing trips for nature seekers. All itineraries have been personally researched by our executives in Addis Ababa and we operate our own fleet of vehicles suitably equipped for local conditions. Yumo Tours is proud to have pioneered the development of new routes in Ethiopia. We also provide transport and advice for film crews, who are now becoming aware of the scenic locations available in Ethiopia. The fleet of vehicles is available for charter to corporate, NGO or official diplomatic groups, for conferences, seminars, incentive tours, and special events and functions.

We usually work as ground agents for international tour operators in the travel trade, but we are willing to provide services for specialised expeditions which are not readily available in travel brochures.
